    • If it wasn't for the HPFP replacement (warranty)..

I feel like I hit the jackpot with this car and this trim. For my wife, this replaced her first car—an old, beat-up, but reliable Yaris. For me, I wanted some luxury, as that's what we older guys tend to appreciate. After doing tons of research, I found this car with only 5k miles on it at what I thought was a great price. Turns out it was an AMAZING price, because 35k miles later, the car is worth only $1k less than what I paid. And there's a reason it holds its value. Why settle for a Prius when you can get a car that is just as efficient, more comfortable, and has way more room for the same price—all while being cheaper as it depreciates? Sure, the 2022 model is missing a 360-degree view and a front camera, but it still packs more tech than its rivals, the Camry and the Accord. After three years with this generation, the quirks from the 2020–2021 model years have mostly been worked out. The high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) did fail, but it was replaced under warranty (a known quirk with these, so keep an eye out). If you take care of this car, it will treat you well. Stick to Top Tier gas, do your maintenance every 5k miles or less, and rest easy knowing this has the "good" Smartstream engine, not the troubled engines of Hyundai's past. It might not look quite as sporty as a Ford Fusion, and it's certainly not a German luxury car, but it will save you serious money and is genuinely fun to drive—in sport mode, at least! Or, you can just cruise in ECO and enjoy getting 50 mpg.

My wife purchased a new Limited Hybrid and so far she loves it. It has all the whistles and bells and for the most part they are working well with one exception. Navigating the new features is a chore for us old folks The exception is, we took it for a short drive about a week after we had it. We stopped for lunch and when we got in the car to come home the left side of the dashboard screen stayed blank. The right side was working and the HUD was working so I could see my speed on the way home We called the dealer and they said to bring it in as soon as we could. As luck would have it, the screen came back on as we turned into the dealership. They updated it and it has worked fine since It has made us a little leery about taking it far from home. All that said, this car is a real upgrade in both ride and quietness from her 2018 Sonata. We are looking forward to it giving us the good service we had with the 2018. I will provide updates as warranted

Best car choice I ever made, and that’s saying a lot from a person who has loved several past vehicles. I did my research and talked to friends who had the top cars, you cannot find a better service experience or a better warranty (which includes the battery) than Hyundai. It’s beautiful and the sound system is great. It’s so quiet that the dashboard has to tell me it’s ready 😆
