Durable and reliable
By Jessebearbctx | on Monday, August 19, 2024
This is a great bargain. My spouse purchased an Outlander Sport 2 weeks after I had purchased a new generation Outlander. This has a smoother ride due to only having 18" wheels vs the 20s I have in my Outlander. It's nimble and has features such as apple car play/android auto and since we have an SE, it has the automatic dimming rear view mirror and power folding mirrors like my Outlander SEL. The interior is no frills and looks like it will last..Auto writers complain about the cvt but it's no different than others a.d helps give this suv decent mileage. Since it's a naturally aspirated engine, you won't have to worry about having a tiny displacement engine with a turbocharger that will burn out. We were so impressed the durability and reliability, we convinced my sister to purchase one. This is an under appreciated and under advertised small SUV. Buy the SE or SEL if you can afford it, it'll give you the most safety features and extra goodies like heated seats, extra USB ports, etc. If you see the competition. This is a proven platform and will outlast any of the competitors. Just see how many older Outlander Sports you see on the road vs other competitors.… - 4.0
Love/Hate relationship
By Medi | on Friday, October 17, 2025
I have a 24 LE trim and i have a love hate relationship with this SUV, when i first got it i was in love with it, now that ive owned it for 6 months im not too happy anymore, these SUV's are great as long as you dont sit 4 full size adults inside and luggage in the back and go on a 4 hour road trip cause let me tell you the performance is 0 at that point, the lack of power entering the highway and trying to get up to speed with other vehicles makes it feel like the engine is going to explode, also the gas mileage drops like its a V8 due to contantly trying to keep up the speed and hitting the gas and rpm's raising over 5k to keep up. Another complaint is the lack of technology, looking back at my trade in a 2020 Sentra, i had more tech in that vehicle than on this SUV. I feel that for the $28k sticker for the Limited Edition version there should be more "Limited Edition" stuff like push button start, back up sensors, remote start, and most important a turbo or bigger engine. If i had to do it all over again i would stay away. The good? I love the 10yr/100k mile warranty and i love how smooth the ride is for a compact SUV.… - 4.0
nice suv for the price.
By mikaela91 | on Thursday, August 26, 2021
Just bought the 2021 outlander, my first SUV in a long time. So far seems like a great car, I like the fact that is a compact SUV that fits great in my small garage. The motor is quiet and rides are fairly smooth, also has great air conditioning and cargo space. Inside is somehow similar to the eclipse cross, not all the way but it has some similarities. The interior seems a little simple in my model, but it has a few extras. Overall is a nice car, perfect for everyday use, errands and other things.…
